Terms

Gapless is run by [Your full name], trading as Gapless ("we"). It is an employment agency that introduces hospitality venues to people looking for shift work. We don't employ workers: when a venue books you, the venue employs you for that shift. By using Gapless you agree to these terms. Questions? Email hello@gaplessapp.co.uk.
For workers
- Gapless is free for workers. We never charge you for finding you work.
- The venue that books you is your employer for that shift. It must pay you at least the National Minimum Wage for your age plus holiday pay, take tax and National Insurance through its payroll, and check your right to work in the UK before your first shift.
- Keep your profile true and up to date. If your visa limits your hours, set your weekly hour limit and Gapless won't book you over it.
- Turn up to the shifts you are booked on. If you can't, withdraw in Gapless as early as you can. Venues record no-shows, and repeated no-shows can lead to your account being suspended after we have looked into it.
- Tips are yours. Gapless never handles them.
For venues
- You employ every worker you book, for that shift. You pay them at least the National Minimum Wage for their age, holiday pay and pension contributions where due, through your payroll.
- You check each worker's right to work in the UK before their first shift. Accepting someone confirms you will.
- Describe each shift accurately, including the experience needed and any health and safety risks.
- Cancel booked shifts only when you must, and as early as you can. Booked workers are emailed straight away.
- Fees: founding venues get their first month free, then pay £49 a month per venue, fixed for 12 months. You can cancel at any time from Manage subscription; the current month isn't refunded.
- If you permanently employ a worker you met through Gapless within [6 months] of their last Gapless shift, an introduction fee of [£250] applies.
For everyone
- Treat people fairly and with respect: no discrimination, harassment or false information.
- Gapless is for hospitality shifts only. Roles that need a licence, such as door supervisors (SIA) or farm and food-packing work (GLAA), aren't allowed.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. A person always reviews it first, and you can reply.
- We work hard to keep Gapless running, but can't promise it will always be available or that every shift will be filled. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- You can close your account at any time by emailing us.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
